Yuzu is a small Japanese citrus fruit that produces little juice and has a very fragrant peel, between tangerine and citron. This powder was made from organic yuzu bark slowly dried in hot air then reduced into a powder rich in flavor to enjoy the tangy aroma of yuzu without wetting your preparations. The yuzu bark powder organic yuzu is produced by our citrus producer located in the Tokushima region, renowned for the production of exceptional citrus fruits.
Flavor: All the subtle and complex scent of yuzu, perfectly balanced between mandarin and citron, with a pleasant bitterness on the finish.
The powder of Organic yuzu bark is ideal for giving the tangy taste of yuzu to your butters, salts and for creating beautiful spice or tea blends. The powder will be perfect in your cocktails, marinades and sauces, mixed with your breadcrumbs to bread fish for example or sprinkled as a final touch on your grills and salads.

The Bando Foods company is a very small family company, based in the Tokushima department (Shikoku island), which grows Japanese citrus fruits yuzu, sudachi and yukoh on an area of more than 7700m². All these fruits are grown between 300 and 400 meters above sea level. Its annual production is around 25 tonnes. Part of its production is sold as is in Japan. The other part is transformed into products such as the yuzu and sudachi juices that we offer you. It is one of the only companies in Japan to be certified organic for Japanese citrus fruits from growing the fruits to putting them into production. This is why Umami is one of the only companies in France that can offer pure organic yuzu and sudachi juices.
