Mizuho Island Spirits is an unaged Awamori (“Ippanshu”) produced by
the Mizuho Distillery on the island of Okinawa in the Ryukyu archipelago.
Mizuho Distillery recently developed “Mizuho Island Spirits”
in order to develop new modes of consumption and
touch the world of mixology. Awamori is traditionally
consumed on ice, dry or reheated but it is also
an excellent cocktail base, fresh and fruity.
TASTING NOTES:
DRESS: Claire.
NOSE: Sweet bouquet with notes of caramel, hints of fresh fruit such as apples.
MOUTH : Remarkable softness and roundness.
FINAL: Smooth and short.
Awamori is the oldest Japanese spirit. From a
unique distillation from Thai rice and which requires
the use of a special strain of mold required when
fermentation, Koji.
