Located at the southern end of the Makinohara Plateau in the northern part of Omaezaki City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Yamama Masudaen is a company specializing in the production, manufacturing and sale of constant tea. Inheriting a tradition dating back to 1870, at the beginning of the development of the Makinohara plateau, the company has been farming mountains and operating tea plantations for five generations, totaling more than 150 years of tea production.

Known for the exceptional quality of its tea, Yamama Masudaen was designated as an official tea plantation in 1986, supplying tea to the Japanese imperial family. Since 1991, the company has exported its Japanese tea overseas, gaining popularity in more than 20 countries and regions. In 2015, she was honored with the “Emperor's Cup”, the highest distinction in the category of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Festival, as well as the Minister of Agriculture's Prize, of Forests and Fisheries, awarded for the second time after 2003.

As a food factory, Masudaen has implemented rigorous quality, safety and security measures. To further strengthen its quality control system, the company obtained the certification of "FSSC 22000" food safety management system in 2016.
