The Nakiri Wusaki Damascus knife perfectly combines aesthetics and performance, offering all the essential assets sought in an excellent kitchen knife: performance, ergonomics, durability and style. Its brushed design stands out for its originality, elegance and impeccable finishes.
Made from stainless steel and carefully hand polished to a razor sharp edge, this Nakiri knife retains its sharpness up to two to three times longer than a European steel knife. Each knife is hand sharpened in a V shape with a leather strip, guaranteeing a perfect cut from the first use.
The Nakiri DAMAS 10Cr knife has a steel blade with a strength of 60 HRC with a 10Cr steel core (1.05% carbon). This high-end steel is much harder than most Western premium knives, chosen for its excellent properties and incomparable longevity.
Its blade, composed of 67 layers of Damascus unique to each knife and hammered throughout its upper part, is completed by a noble olive wood handle. Just as crucial as the blade, the latter offers unique veining, a breathtaking design and guaranteed comfort when holding it.
Finally, the Japanese acronym engraved on the base of the handle adds an additional touch of prestige and a resolutely original style to each knife.
Each Wusaki knife is manufactured by a small structure located north of the city of Canton, the capital of the province of Guangdong, in Western China. This region, historically recognized for its know-how in the production of steel knives, allowed Wusaki to find a serious partner with a human-sized structure, guaranteeing expertise entirely governed by French manufacturing standards for professionals in the sector. .
The variations in colors, patterns and veining of the handles, from different parts of the olive wood, are all equally unique. These differences, depending for example on the knots in the wood, are completely normal.
For maintenance, it is recommended to wash by hand then wipe with a soft cloth. It is not recommended to excessively moisten the handle when cleaning. From time to time, applying a cloth soaked in olive oil to the handle can protect the wood.
