Description
Small bell bowl, DHARMA
The Dharma bell is made in Japan, where it is used at the beginning and end of meditations. It is used in the same way as the keizu bell, with a light blow of the mallet on the rim. - At home, its clear and crystalline sound is an invitation to practice mindfulness, to calm the emotions and soothe the mind. - According to Thich Nhat Hanh, a world-famous Vietnamese monk, "we all have peace, tranquillity and joy within us, but we need to invoke them to manifest them. Listening to the sound of the bell is a way of invoking the joy and tranquillity that is within us. (...) I hold the bell in the palm of my hand and breathe. I breathe in and calm down. I breathe out and smile".
"When I listen to the sound of the bell, I feel that my afflictions begin to dissolve, my mind calms down, my body relaxes. A smile appears on my lips. As I follow the sound of the bell, my breath takes me back to the safe island of mindfulness." Thich Nhat Hanh
